Are u on a domain? if so then ask your admin about it as there may be a policy disabling your desktop & Time properties dialog boxes! Or first try your registry at:

Have you patched your server & workstation with 2000sp2.
If not, you should.
If that still does not work try starting the DNS service on the server and then typing the DNS ip address on your workstations. That seemed to work for me.

This does seem like a hard nut to crack and i can't think of anything but upgrading the bios!!! have you tried that yet? If not do so. I had something like that(not exactly but close) and the bios upgrade did the trick for me.

Scandisk, yes it can sort out a lot of basic H/D problems but if you think that your still having trouble after running it then its time you bring out Norton Utilities (DiskDoctor) and scan your H/D with that funky little tool!
I find it can fix problems on my PC when i didn'nt even think i had...

What you could do is use "if mediaReady" or "frameReady".
I have not done it my self for ages but it goes somwthing like this:
e.g. In frame 9
if member(1).mediaReady then
go to frame 10
else
go to frame 1
end if
Check the syntax...
I've always deleted as many of them as i can (in Windows) by just selecting them all and hitting DELETE. The ones left over are usually currently in use (proberbly by outlook i.e. Word).
Close all apps and then you should be able to get rid of all of them.

I've had this a few times, the best thing to do (if you hav'nt done it already) is uninstall the dial-up adapter and tcp/ip and then restart and simply install them again.
