Problem solved, my onboard Nvidia LAN was corrupting incoming packets, I'm using the other Marvell onboard LAN now and everything's fine.

Did a scan. Found nothing.

Files of any size are being corrupted, I have ADSL 1mb.

I ran SFC but it just completed its check and exited, I will try the windows repair and report back.

I know this is purely aesthetic, but it's driving me nuts, whenever I install a new app the start menu program folder for it glows yellow. I can usually get rid of this but now its just not going away. Where can I change the setting so windows stops doing this? Thanks for any help.
