ive configured cisco 2811 routers, each with a WIC installed. Router "A" has a multiport WIC installed (2 ports) and router "B" has a single port WIC installed. Both configurations are the same, except for the router with the dual-port WIC which have an extra controller and serial interface... -
Why is this working?
These 2 routers are connected with WIC cards and its possible to ping from one LAN to the other. The problem i see is that the connected serial interfaces are in different network: Router 1: 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0 Router 2: 192.168.20.1 255.255.255.0... -

im a little confushed here. should i be able to ping a serial interface that is not connected wiht a cable/router in the other end? should i be able to see it in "sho ip route"? if not, then its probably working fine once i get the other router and i can go to bed, finally :) -
