I have not read of any successful penetration of a Linksys router. Is there a known vulnerbility with the default setup (no forwarding, no DMZ ,etc) that is used with a cable modem and an unrouted (192.168.x.x) internal network?

Thanks for all the replies. I was never able to get Solaris back onto my harddrive. But - interestingly - Redhat 7.1 went onto the same drive without a hitch (first try).
beats me. When I get an extra dollar I'm going to get another HD and see if that doesnt help.
