    XP OEM licesing question

This link is what started my questioning for anyone who is interested: http://blogs.msdn.com/mssmallbiz/archive/2005/09/07/461950.aspx

    XP OEM licesing question

Just an FYI, I am grateful for everyone's input, but I was still a bit confused as to different oem licenses so I called Microsoft (got the run around of course), and then ended up calling one of the certified oem distributors. They told me that the only legal way to get an OEM licence is if you...

    XP OEM licesing question

Thank you, it's finally clear to me what the differences are. Why would MS have both an end-user and system-builder license? Is there a big pricing difference?

    XP OEM licesing question

Thanks for the info, but this computer will be retired in a few years and there won't be a need for an upgrade, so the OEM version will be just fine (and cost is my primary concern at this point). Does anyone know if I can still use a piece of qualifying hardware or can clarify the Microsoft...

    XP OEM licesing question

I guess I'm a bit confused on this oem policy. Basically, I just want to buy Win XP oem online (with some ram) and install it in a fresh system. I have read the Microsoft system builder license that states you can't distribute XP oem unless on a complete system. Is it illegal for me to buy it...

    Windows 2000 Licensing question

Thanks, I was afraid of that. One last question in desperation, there is a contact phone number for the school, would I be able to contact them for a copy of the group license cd/serial number? Thanks!

    Windows 2000 Licensing question

I just bought an old computer from a thrift store that has Windows 2000 installed on it. I can tell the computer came from a school, but there was no license or CD that came with it. Am I allowed to legally keep Windows on it? I'm guessing that the school had installed a group license of Windows...

trying to build a form on top of fifth-normal-form structure

I tried setting the recorsource property to "" and all of my rows disappeared from the form (refreshed as you mentioned). If I change the recordsource back the rows show up again. Is it possible to keep the rows there some how even when the form is unbound? I'm guessing no, but I thought I would...

trying to build a form on top of fifth-normal-form structure

I like the sound of dynamic binding/unbinding. Can you dynamically unbind from code, and if so, would the values that were already displayed still stay there? I really appreciate the help. I have also toyed with the idea of using a temp table.

trying to build a form on top of fifth-normal-form structure

I think I see what you mean, but how would you display records that had already been entered if the form was unbound? Thanks!

trying to build a form on top of fifth-normal-form structure

Hi, I have built a db structure in fifth-normal-form, and as such a query to retrieve the right values has to do a cross-multiply (cartesian product) on the tables. This prevents me from creating an updatable query. However, I am building a form and want the user to be able to add new records...
