We have had a problem lately whereby if we schedule a mail to be sent at a later date and then want to stop the mail from going we cannot find it to delete it. does anybody have any info on this. Thanks in advance. andy graham

Hi Miyagi, if you want your new server to be a member server just join it to the domain as normal. If you want it to be a backup domain controller ( this will share the workload of the domain controller) run DCPROMO on it. andy graham

you can create a user and give him permission to add computers to the domain, i'm not sure but you might have to do it through the delegation wizard then when it asks for a user with permission to join a computer to a domain give the new account details.once again make sure that the new account...

you didn't need to add the new server account to the DC before joining the domain try deleting the account and the dns record and then joining the domain again. make sure that when you delete the account that it replicates to the other DC You will also need to use a Domain administrator account...

if you are not getting the create mailbox option when you create new users in active directory you can actually install the adc on the domain controller. I have also found that this fixes the mailbox problem.
all the papers seem to point to the active directory connector only being used to connect exchange 5.5 to active directory but i have found that if you use it to connect the server that will have exchange 2000 0n before running setup it works fine.ofcourse your tcp/ip settings must be pointing...
you dont need to install active directory on the exchange server just join the server to the domain and then when you run exchange setup it should detect the active directory. If for some reason it does not detect the domain controller you may have to install the active directory connector...
