    I have experienced a similar problem with MS Office files. Refer to Microsoft TechNet, article Q201601 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;201601) Even if this does not fix your problem it may point you in the right direction.

    In this instance, the DOS XCOPY syntax would be (assuming your files were on D: and you wanted to copy them to C:) :- D:\AAA:>xcopy *.txt C:\AAA\*.* /s This will copy all txt files from D: to C: and place them in the same directory structure.

    Possibly:- Check the user's local NT profile. If a temporary local profile is being created during login then the changes will only be valid during that session. When you log back in again a new, default, temporary profile will be used, hence why the setting is lost.

    Refer to Q262213 on Microsoft TechNet:- Copy the Nppdf32.dll file from the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 4.0\Reader\Browser folder to the C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Plugins folder. This should help.

    Problem; IE5 Address Bar History List

    IE5 on WinNT WS4 (SP6) - The URL entries on the pull-down menu of the address bar are no longer being recognised as URLS but as files (the icon on the left of the entry shows a share icon rather than an IE icon.) What causes this and how can I fix it?
