I also needed 10 new licences and was sent 6.5 licence, I added them just as you did and like you it added separately to the 6.0 Licences and they were not used when users logged on. I contacted my supplier and he checked and confirmed that I should not have been sent 6.5. He then credited me...
We have had to rebuild a Notes server because of a crash, which has involved the reinstallation of ARCserve 9.01 and the Notes Backup Agent. On trying to restore the Notes databases we got the below error. We have been able to restore other files just not the Notes Databases. We know we could...
I am trying to restore some files that were on our Windows NT 4 server which had been backed up by ARCServe 9 for windows. I am trying to restore them using our Netware server but I am getting the following error: "NNPAGENT must be loaded to restore non-netware partition". which is then...
Hi Anthony
No I haven't got around to putting the SP4 on the Server. I will probably try and do it sometime over the next few months so will keep you posted. If you do go ahead and do it I will be interested to know if it sorted your problems.

Rob
Hi Afrata
No I never solved the issue. I contacted CA but that was a complete waste of time. They suggest uninstalling all the ARCServe and then reinstalling, I did this to no avail, they then gave me a link to download 9.01, but agin this did not solve the problem. They suggested changing...
We have a Netware 3.12 server which has namespace added and Windows 98 PC's run fine and have no problem seeing long filename and long paths. We have just added some Windows 2000 PC's and when you look at certain directories (it looks like the longer nested dirs) in Windows Explorer there are...
I have tried reinstalling both ARCserve Serve & Manager but to no avail.
I have now only got this to work by switching IPX back on, which is not ideal as I was running a pure IP network.
Also it is not entirely fixed as I seem to have a conflict with SLPDA and have had to remove this from the...
I had already reinstalled the ARCserve Manager but this had no effect. I haven't reinstalled the ARCserve on the server as I wanted see if there was any other thing I could do before doing this. If I do not get any other ideas I will reinstll the ARCserve on the Server at the Weekend.
We have been successfully running BrightStor ARCserve Backup 9 (with the 9.01 update) no problem on a Netware Server 6 with SP2 running on a pure IP Network. The BrightStor ARCserve Manager connected fine until this weekend when we applied the Netware SP3 to the server. BrightStor ARCserve...
Thanks TheLad for coming back.
The Abend log shows it to be the CATIRPC.NLM NLM that caused the crash. The TAPE$SVR.LOG shows no SCSI errors. Yes the Tape drive is connected to the internal SCSI bus and no we do not have any NDS replicas.
We have recently upgraded ARCserve 7 to ARCserve 9 for Netware. We are running NW 6 with SP2 installed. It is running on a Compaq Proliant ML530, 1 Xeon Processor, 640MB memory.
For 4 days we had no problem then the backup hung in the early hours of the morning just as it is was about to...
We are only running a small network 1 server and 100 users. We are not using DA. My Netware knowledge is fairly limited but I do not believe SLP has ever been configured.
