We have noticed on our Exchange 2000 server that the MDBDATA logs are not being cleared after Backup Exec has been run. These are building quite quickly and disc space is soon going to become an issue.

Generally on all our PC's we remove the desktop wallpaper and disable changing wallpaper within gpedit.msc
Several PC's that have had the settings for changing wallpaper disabled have had wallpapers added to their desktops.
Users in question don't have any admin rights on the PC and settings...
It's ok Commtec17 put me on the right track.
In the media set the retention period was set to infinite, changed this and all appear ok now.

We've recently installed Backup Exec 9 on one of our servers. It works fine execpt for the fact it won't overwrite tapes.
It keeps telling me that the media is overwrite protected, which it isn't. Settings for overwrite media all seem to be correct.

We've had the program installed on various Win98 PC's - Dell, Compaq, Tiny etc and it eats the User resources down to almost nothing on all PC's
The GDI resources aren't as bad and seem more stable.
