I need to be able to create records by entering a range.
This would be like having an ID# field and being able to create new record #s 100 - 150. Each row would have the same values that were entered in other fields on the form.
The wrench in all of this is that our ID#s follow the format...
Thanks Alfalf.
I have a form with a subform. I'd like users to be able to filter subform records (and their corresponding mainform records) by using the "filter by form" tool. When I try this it filters the subform records but not the parent (mainform) records. Is there something...
Forgive me- I've posted this in the other Access forums but can't seem to get much response so I'm trying to reach a greater audience. Please help me if you can.
I have a database with one main table (tblPROJECT) left outer joined to 5 child tables by PROJpkey. The main form's control source...

I have a database with one main table (tblPROJECT) left outer joined to 5 child tables by PROJpkey. The main form's control source is tblPROJECT and then there are 5 separate subforms for each of the 5 child tables one of which being tblPROPERTY/frmPROPERTY.

I understand that... but I've already got a pretty complicated form with about 5 subforms and I don't want to have to answer parameters for each field everytime I open the form. I just want to be able to filter the records based on subform attributes. It almost works except it is not blocking...
No. That's not it. My relationship is one to many with the main form one and the subform many. And I understand that. I'm not trying to query for that one player on many different teams- I'm trying to filter for players and teams based on the player information. I'm not getting through and...
I think this maybe where I'm having trouble because it seems like it should work the way you are describing. If I filter for *bec* I would expect it to return Manchester (main form) and Beckham (subform) but then also other teams and players that met that criteria. Instead what I get is all of...
Thanks Trendsetter. I guess what I'm asking is how I can filter (taken from your example) a specific player (subform) and have it return only the teams (main form) and players that satisfy the filter. Currently if I filter the players I get all of the teams but when I scroll through the teams...

Thanks for the information Naith.
I had seen the dll that Crystal offers and had tried it before but I couldn't tell the difference between the product you get with the Word Exact export and the Rich Text. Seems that by installing the Word Exact dll all it does is export to Word format with...
I'm in a similar position as you, golyg. I've only worked with Crystal for about a year but exporting to .doc is driving me crazy. I have found .pdf to be the best but everybody wants to be able to cut and paste into a Word doc. .rtf is a fair alternative. We're using 8.5. Does anybody know...
