You have no choice but to image the drive or do a partition copy using utilities like the ones bill metioned. Copying files simply will not work, so save your time, nothing in windows will do that for you.
Bill, didn't read anything between the lines and didn't mean to start a debate which is better. It's just that I felt most people don't realize there is some good AV software out there that can do the job for free. AVG isn't the only one for that matter, it's just the one I am familiar with.
- Clients have no problem connecting to other machines
- Disabled firewall and AV to no avail
- Router was already configured to fwd 3389, I would get a "could not connect..." message if tried to connect on WAN and it wasn't, and doesn't even matter on LAN connections
After installing SP2 I can no longer make remote desktop connections to the PC. Not from LAN and not from WAN, and it isn't that I get a "could not connect to remote computer" thing, I get nothing. I click connect on the client computer, buttons grey out for a second after that, then turn black...
