I did try cancel but not after each msgbox.I will try that. As for not working it allows me to enter in any amount in the allocation subform and doesnt do any thing. I can just go to a new record in the main form it doesnt seem to run the code not even a error debug?

Oldnewbie Is there a way to create an action button or key stroke so when they hit the alt key it activates somthing in the page this way it basically disables the alt print screen combo.
