Okay.... Here is what I did to fix my problem: Modified the /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run file and commented out the following: #/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /usr/bin/true It should work with this but is doesn't. Does this make sense?

Hello, I saw an old post that touched this subject but it didn't have a resolution. Now that our email server is up and running on new hardware, our netscape/Thunderbird users get asked for their passwords. It never accepts them. Outlook and Squirrel Mail are working fine. Any ideas...

We ended up with bad hardware and after the raid card failed we were forced to rebuild. Thanks for your help! Timm

Okay problem solved... We have two qmail email servers. Both were working fine. Added the other domain and the users and changed the firewall to accept their IP address since it is "off net" but didn't flush connections so it continued to work for about 45 minutes until all the connections...

Also... there is no bounce email... no mail in queue. Don't know if that helps
