Hello ravina!
I think mfgf is right. It appears that there is still an old parameter in the report. It is possible that the parameter is used in the expression of an data item or in a filter or it is used from a prompt...
One possibility to find "lost" parameters is to open the report and then...
Hi NEAR,
I assume you are using ReportNet / Report Studio...?
I have the same problem with one of my report.
As far as I know, the reportserver validates the report before the prompt-page is shown. So it takes ages before the prompt is displayed. However I'm not sure if it is possible to skip...
Hello JKas,
I suppose you use ReportNet.
What do you mean with "adding a Box" - Do you put the Query2 in a ListColumn of the Query1 or do you put it in a Block or a Table?
However, if you have the Query2 in a ListColumn and you change the Box type to "None" the column heading is still...
Hi Mexchen,
you have to delete every reference to the old parameter. It is possible that the parameter is used in the expression of an data item or in a filter or it is used from a prompt...
Copy the report to your clipboard and paste it to an editor. In the editor you can search after your...
Hi lohita,
does it work now?
I suppose there is still one mistake..
When your variable has the values "By Date" and "By Period", than you have to use "ParamDisplayValue("yyyy") so that the variable is compared to the Dispaly value of the prompt.
However I would recommend that you use the...
Hi lohita,
I just asked you a few question in the other thread. I didn't saw that you opened a new one.
Well you followed the above mentioned steps and you inserted the parameter (variable) to your query.
And you are able to see your prompt, but there is no effect to the columns.
* What are...
Hello lohita,
I need more information:
Do you use conditional formatting or a conditional block?
Are you prompted for the variable? (if no please insert the parameter in your query - description is above in my post of 13 Jul 05 2:37)

Hi,
I want to create a crosstab-report with reportstudio.
In this crosstab I want to insert a calculated column. In Impromptu this was possible via the button "Advanced..." in query-view.
I couldn't find something similar in ReportNet, neither I could find another way.
Is there a possibility...
It is not possible to insert 2 data items from different queries to one list. The reason is that there is only one query behind a list.
Using a third query as link is only possible when you use the 2 other queries within this query (2 levels). (I already tried this possibility, but didn't work...
Here is my situation:
* Query 1 contains the tank levels for a certain day.
* Query 2 contains the deliveries (to this tanks) for a certain day.
In my Report I want to show the tank levels and as detail list the deliveries (I linked the two lists via master/detail relationship). Problem is that...
I also want to know how to use data from 2 different queries
--> see thread401-1137903.
To create a view is not a feasible solution for my situation.
Is there any other way to do this?

I created a report with report studio. There is query A which selects my data.
I have another query B which selects detail data - both queries are joined via the Master-Detail-Relationship.
I want to insert a calculated item (into the main query and main list) which references to a column/fact...
Hi H69PP,
maybe this helps: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1089845 (ReportNet - Display (or hide) columns based on prompt values)?

Hi!
I have built a report and a drill-through report in ReportStudio.
for example
Report A:
Nr, Name (Drill Through on Name, Parameter = Nr)
Drill Through:
Nr, Values
This works fine and when I click on one name of the "Report A" the drill-through with the corresponding values to this name...
