Can someone please ltell me how I can PERMANENTLY remove that stupid messenger? I deleted it out of the Windows XP Setup, using the Add/remove Programs and then XP Setup, is there a registry value I can write/remove to never start that thing again? thanks, victor

Have you tried downloading the SP1 from Microsoft's Windows Update Site and reinstalling that?

You'r right, that's probably the only way to get my stuff off the laptop, then I can re-do the Partitioning, I want it all to be one HD, no more partitions.... thanks for the help
