OK, further update, it does display, but only after I answer the call.
Guess I have to figure out if its possible to display without having to answer first.
... lots of features in these nortel systems.
I did power it down yes.
I've played with it a little more since my original post and it appears the card now works. I can select the lines, but the caller ID doesn't get displayed on incoming calls. I have it enabled for the telephone, but still nothing.
Funny, the system time got updated to...
I'm trying to upgrade my MICS 7.1 system with an older analog line card (NT7875GB) to one that supports caller id (NT7B75AAAC).
I swapped the cards thinking it should just be a seamless upgrade and that the MICS should pick up the new card type upon re-booting. This didn't seem to work. The...
No I didn't. I didn't know what extension to forward them to.
Anyway, I tried forwarding them to the Callpilot and everything works fine now. Thanks.
I was kind of stump because the installation manual doesn't mention anything, and I didn't have to do this with my CICS installation a few years...
I've got a MICS 7.1 installed with a CP 3.1. Everything appears to be installed correctly and operational, but for some reaons the voice mail doesn't answer extensions as expected.
When I call an extension from another extension, the voice mail doesn't pickup, ever.
One CO Line is setup with...
I currently use a line selector, and I could put it upstream to solve the problem.
I just was under the impression that the MICS (v7.1) supported Distinctive Ring for lines (separate from Distinctive Ring for telephone sets).
Unfortunately the document is kind of sketchy on the details. I can...
I'm trying to setup the distinctive ring option on our MICS 0x32 (DRv7.1) so that an incoming fax on a distinctive ring can be routed directly to that fax machine (via ATA2).
Does anyone know. Is distinctive ringing supported by older LS/DS trunk cards? Or, do I need a newer CLID card?
No...
Does anyone know if a NVRAM labelled "NTBB08GA-93 0009 Rel02" is an R1 NVRAM or R2?
Its labelled release 2, but I think its a R1 and the NTBB08GB-93 is the R2.
I was wondering if someone might be able to clear this up for me. I'm trying to run DR7.1
-thanks
I can't seem to get anything but a blinking light. I don't think my NVRAM is compatible with my DR7.1 software.
It appears I might have a NVRAM R1 instead of an R2. Its labeled "NTBB08GA-93 0009 Rel 02", but I thinks its a R1 and the NTBB08GB-93 is the R2.
Can anyone confirm this.
OK, figured out the problem with my termination block.
Now the phone blinks continuously, with no way to enter any **STARTUP command or anything. Not sure its even booting up.
Since I got the KSU, NVRAM and Software all separately, is there some way to systematically reset the system?
Am I...
