This could be because the tapes have got overwrite protection.
Have you tried erasing the tapes or does that not work either.

Im running BE 9.1 on windows 2k3 server.
After a server rebuild the tape device (Quantum dlt vs160) has been picked up fine by the server, but when I run any jobs, I have mainly been testing with running an inventory, the job will start but remains in a running state, It never fails or...
When two users of mine click on a link that opens a new window the page is blank, but if they open links that use the same window the pages are fine.
They are using IE6, the one pc has W2k the other is XP Pro.

Thanks for all the help, it seemed to be a rights problem in the end even though the rights were setup correct we gave the system account of the server rights and then the installations on the xp machines worked.

The user logs into my domain (A), but has a mapping to data on a different domain (B). The rights level on B is correct and the user is able to copy and move data when logged into B domain, but when logged into A they are unable to move and copy data that is on B.

Sorry for the delayed response ABOzIT, have had access to the users machine.
I am able to launch the attachment, and detach and open it.
The message I receive when trying to view is 'unknown viewer failure' i have no idea what viewer Notes is looking for.
