Minue, Thanks for the response. I have tried setting 8-N-1 and get the same results. I have also tried to hit the enter key to get beyond that point and have had no luck.

I am playing with a Cisco 2514 router (I'm just using it for practice, really!!!) I've connected the terminal adapter and cable to the router's console port, then I started a HyperTerminal session (9600-8-N-2), and get the following stuff (listed below) and it seems to hang on the last line...

Thanks for the info., but this is a NetWare server so the options are different. Ultimately I had to enter static routes on the NetWare server for the different IP ranges and everything is set now. Thanks again.
