Exchange recovered, but still getting event id 929

Looks like its sorted. MS guy advised me to look at the properties of the Internet SMTP connector, and to add the exchange server to the local bridgehead. Since i did this a couple of days ago, the errors have stopped. Looks like the MS guy came good, although he initially told me to log...

    Lost Primary DC

When ive done this previously, the technet recommended to do a metadata cleanup as well if you are removing the DC completely. It wasnt in all the locations it suggested but there were still some references to it

Exchange recovered, but still getting event id 929

Thanks Guys, sorry a little late but been doing some other stuff as well. The store does seem quite stable at the moment though. We are still getting the netsky worm detected and removed at the moment, as this was one of the reasons for corruption, due to misconfig'd AV software removing...

Exchange recovered, but still getting event id 929

Exchange recovered, but still getting event id 929

Ive ended up having perform a makeshift disaster recovery on an exchange 2000 box by getting the store remounted, then backing everything up to .pst and then import them back in to a new datatbase, as the customer had no backup and the database was corrupt. One of the things I tried to do to...

Hiding drives works in explorer, but not in office apps

We have a customer, that through a series of events ended up having E2k on 1 server, but the public folders on another server. The server that held the public store has been deleted within server manager. Ive edited the public folders so they look at the main e2k server, and ive copied the...

    spooler crash just after logon

Apologies, but i left some info out We are using Uniprint version 4.2.1 on the servers. The spool area does contain folders for each user that has logged on. On the older FR2 system, we did have occasions where the spooled file would not delete after printing, but this would only cause the...
