Just opened up Zonealarm to have sort of security while i have not got a virus scanner installed and its been running silent the whole time without me knowing....even though it is turned off on start up. zonealarm was blocking my virus scanner updating, and blocked my telnet attempts. and...- thehittmann

finally got it all fixed...no idea what the specific cause was but i just went delete happy and got rid of everything deleted all protocols, services, clients, my vius scanner.....firewall, google tool bar bunh of other stuff that i have installed in the past week. goto windows update it will check your system and notice IE isnt there and you will have the option to add it.- thehittmann

im having the same problem as i speak. I can connect to yahoo, icq, xnews (usenet program), I am using frontpage to connect to write this message right now. Neither IE or netscape will work and I have fixed IE, removed tcp/ip rebooted and re-added, removed DUN rebooted and remade the connection...- thehittmann
