in e2k you have a pop3 connector, so you could have your e2k get mail from the 5.5 server..
In that way you could move some test users to e2k before migrating.
There would be problems with shared resources though.
Microsoft got a few good papers on server migrating, maybe you can find some good...

The fastest (and probably easiest, if you know how to install a hard drive in a pc) thing would probably be to take out the hard drive and put it in an other computer...
If you have a paralell laplink cable, or a serial nullmodem cable , you could transfer the data directly to an other computer...
I have seen somehting like that. I think it was only the video window that was turning green (whole screen if fullscreen video naturally). I think the problem was something wrong with a codec, and/or overlay settings. I hope that can give you some clues..
it could look like your smtp is an open relay..?
make sure it dont accept connections from everywhere, or your server can forward mail (spam, viruses, illegal content) for anyone
well if all of the hosting tools are installed and configured, it looks like all you need is marketing and a scalable internet connection, in case you get traffic

i am looking for something that can pass credentials between different web services, so that users only have to sign on one place.
Does any of you know of (opensource or low cost) solutions that can do this?
I would have set up a VPN server in one of the locations, or simply used a free p2p program, like DirectConnect.
An other solution could be ftp access to one computer, or to all, with portforwarding in the dsl routers, ,maybe with some dynamic dns service.
