I had this problem a few weeks ago, did a shutdown / chkdsk and the event viewer worked again.
Today I tried 3 times but the event viewer just hangs when it is loading.
I believe it is the security log that is causing the problem.
Is there a way to reset the event viewer ( remove any data in...
Hello Brian
when I trace the problem the form closes as soon as the debugger starts.
The ReadDeactivate event fires.
In VFP7 the help on readdeactivate is nil...don't use it is the essence.
In other words the conversion that was done by a long gone programmer was Q&D and is now a support...
Hello Dave,
no calls to either methods anywhere to be found.
Being a converted form from 2.6 it has code in the formset's ReadActivate, ReadDeActivate and Readshow methods.

I have to support some older programs that were converted to Visual Foxpro from 2.6
The conversion was done such that Visual Foxpro moved what was forms into Framesets with the original form contained within it. (yuck)
I have added a simple command button to the forms pageframe page1 which...
I have resolved the problem!
I tried restoring the VFP8 directory but that did not fix it.
So I started looking at the screen properties (again) and noticed that on the window menu you can get at the properties toolbox for "Screen"
I manually set the width and height to less so that...
The first fix I tried was moving the foxuser.* files to another drive ( and rebooted).
I since restored them.
I now deleted them.
(I also checked for foxuser.* in the path and tried unchecking using foxuser.dbf resource file.)
Next I examined the _screen properties including:
o=_screen && I'm...
After I had a program crash VFP now opens maximized and cannot be sized at all.
When I doubleclick on the title bar or click the restore control box VFP minimizes.
Can someone help me get this fixed so that I don't have to reinstall?
Thanks!

In the Exchange Administrator Program
Connections
Internet Connection
the tab is Internet Mail
The settings are settable for all domains on that page
They are customizable by domain using the Email Domain button
Goor luck!

We have resolved our problem using a different method but I would guess that deleting and recreating the internet connector would have fixed it as well *if you leave the settings at the default*.
I noticed on the Internet Mail page of our primary domain, the attachments outbound Plain Text was...
This problem and it's start date is WAY too coincidental!
Our Exchange 5.5 server is exhibiting the same problem with outside recipients not getting the attachments.
The problem was first reported around the 13th of January.
I have visited one of the recipients and checked their Outlook...
yes, transparent mode.
The appliance is not the target IP for anyone except from my PC which is the only one that is having the problem.
You are right that if I switch my VFP apps to call blat.dll with the shield's IP as the SMTP server it does not work, for them.
It does for my PC though...
I have discovered a workaround to this problem which I will try for a while.
Instead of using my Exchange server's IP for the internal emails I have successfully used the E250's which works every time, so far...
I spent some time yesterday to further isolate whether it is ONLY my PC being affected or are there others.
My conclusion is that all others are not affected.
So your suggestion does not seem probable.
Yet if I bypass Webshield mine works.
It appears that if I reboot and DO NOT load Outlook...
just setup webshield e250 inside our firewall before our Exchange 5.5 server.
All is working ok except for it is interfering with our production applications sending of emails.
These are programs written in Visual Foxpro 7, using blat.dll to send email via smtp.
( Also not working are system...
