Dear Folks,
I am getting this message when attempting upload my site:
Server error: server extensions were unable to access the file "G:\_vti_pvt\service.cnf". Please check the file permissions.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Running Windows XP with FP 2002.
Thanks.

I have a website constructed in FP that has certain pages (e.g., several include and .htm pages) marked to be excluded from publishing when uploading the site (always via FP's integral FTP), so as not to conflict with some pages that are uploaded and unzipped via a gateway.
However, despite...
I am using FrontPage 2002 (build 10.2623.2625) and just today I received this error message while attempting to upload a site that I regularly make modifications to (I just performed some last week):
Server error: Error 2 opening registry key "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Share Tools|Web Server...
Dear SlimJim across the "big pond",
Thanks much!!! Your first suggestion fixed the problem immediately. I must have accidentally altered this setting at some point.

A few weeks ago, I started to have isolated files have problems in showing the font type of selected text (e.g., Arial). Now, all of my files are having this problem (except for a newly created file), only now, the fonts are completely out of alphabetical order!!!
What gives?
Thanks in...
Dear John,
Thanks for your input, but again, in the control panel, when looking at the properties for the GenericPostScriptPrinter (installed when re-installing PageMaker + Distiller), that particular option is nowhere to be found.
Also, though Distiller 4 is rather outmoded, nevertheless, I...
Dear All,
I recently reformated my computer, and previously, my PDF export function in PM was working just fine. Now I am receiving this infamous message:

3. Right mouse click this file and click on Properties.
4. Ensure that the...
Noconi,
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Yes, I am attempting to have the Justify toolbar button appear (and for algraff, such a button does exist; it is on FrontPage on my computer at work, and has been there, whether I was using version 2000 or 2002). Any ideas, so far, I think that I...
I have FP 2000 running on Windows XP at home (as well as at work), and while I often use the "justify" button on the formatting bar on my version at work, I cannot get this same button to appear on my version at home.
I have done some research, and perhaps this is caused by FP Express...
Dear Algraff,
Thanks for the response, however I am confused by your statement: "HTML doesn't support Justified text...", as I have used this option (provided on the tool bar with a button next to the left, center and right buttons just as in Word) with Front Page in creating at...
I am using Front Page 2000 at home on a Windows XP Professional Dell computer.
I have had two problems in the past:
1. The JUSTIFY text button is nowhere to be found.
2. The upper tabs that allow one to switch from one opened page to another also are nowhere to be found.
I checked various...
