Thanks very much for your responses, AD replication sounds right. It has just never taken that long. We are still on a 2003 domain controller, so not deleting the account is the only way to go.

A domain user's account was deleted by accident, and then recreated. Some of the user's permissions to applications and/or data took about four hours to work properly. Does anyone know why some of these permissions took so long to start working?

When creating a permit statement in an access list where ports are also being specified (eq 3000), what is the syntax to allow multiple ports in numerical sequence? Would this work (eq 3000-3009), or would you need to create a permit statement for each port? Thanks, Tom

Thanks vipergg; the "sh log" command was not providing enough detail. I had a duplex mismatch with a couple trunking ports!

I have a Catalyst 5500 switch that recently started resetting all four switch port modules simultaneously. This is happening once every couple days to two weeks. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?
