I am not too familer with Nortel. How many cable pairs do I need to run a M3903 phone using a NT8D02GA circuit pack?

The 96xx devices use otion 242 rather than 176. Do you have option 242 defined?

Did this get resolved. It could be that some device is not grounded properly. It is a strech, but possible.

not sure what you are trying to do........ but to build a PN you need some of the following -g650 -ipsi -medpro's or xfire -clan -tn771 (?) maintenance card -if splitting cabinets you will need "bus terminator"

Does anyone have feedback on Polycoms, SIP/POE units? They seem like nice clean install. Just a network cable and no more power supplies and cords. Are they relativley simple to install and configure?

Get someone to test at the far end.

Enter the voice vlan and just keep hitting pound, save the changes and let the unit boot up. You will then be promted to enter extension.

We build them as 4620's. When you install/configure, just hit # until you get to the VLAN and enter the voice VLAN. That has worked for us.

When a s8300/g700 goes into LSP mode, how many IP phones can register? I realize there are DSP/VoIP resource limitations, but can not find how many IP phones the g700 can handle. Version 4.x

Verify you IPSI board settings. Check with your network guys to confirm port and VLAN settings.

Codec should match. Since you have that in codec set 1 you should be ok. I think you may need medpro in G3si, buy one one Ebay.

Could be an issue with the codec settings.
