My field tech says he rebooted all the sites that he put the patch on.

    BCM 50 113 patch pulled?

Anyone know when and why the BCM050.113-CORE patch was pulled from Nortel's website? It actually fixed a bunch of echo issues we were experiencing.

Option 11c and Polycom SoundStation2 Problem

Ok, so what do these little hidden switches do... Inquiring minds want to know...

    Daylight Savings Time

Nortel's web site tech search is still silent on this issue. However, there is a bulletin (2006007427) released on 10/27 for the BCM and Norstar platforms. I still have two 2.02 Call Pilot systems (running unsupported MS NT 4.0) that I am concerned about, in addition to my CS1000. PS, I think...

Option 11c and Polycom SoundStation2 Problem

Unfortunately, I have found Polycom to have firmware issues on several of their products that have not been resolved. I also have some 3Com NBX systems with some Polycom IP Soundstaions that have firmware "issues" that have never been resolved by Polycom. There are workarounds, but should't...

    Tying to An Avaya Switch

Clear channel is 64 kb per channel, vs 56 kb per channel. 56 kb channels have the other 8 kb used for in-band signalling. Some telcos use the requirement for clear channel to extract additional money out of customers. 64 kb channels are required for PRI circuits.

    Tying to An Avaya Switch

I don't know your local situation, but you may also have alternatives to the phone company. Do you need data there also? How much bandwidth? You could use a wireless link to carry your private T1 circuit between the two buildings; some equipment will allow Ethernet with multiple T1 circuits...

Option 11c and Polycom SoundStation2 Problem

I was using a Polycom Soundstation 500D conference phone in an exec conference room and I ended up replacing it with a 3904 with a Full Duplex adapter. We experienced several problems with the digital Polycom, including sometimes not able to get dialtone, operator issues, problems setting up...

Removing "New Caller" from M3904 Display

With either the digital M3901 or 3902 phones, your users won't have this problem. B-)

Removing "New Caller" from M3904 Display

...and yes, you have to go to the set to change it.

    Sending DN CLID from Ties

Just curious, but what is the num plan show for local vs LD calls? Is there any difference?

    5510 management IP not responding

Keep us updated. At this time I have one 5520 with routing enabled and a whole bunch of 5510s and 5520s around and the number is growing.

    8600 Acting Weird

Have you used MRTG or something similar to graph the CPU load? Do you have a second CPU blade to swap to?

New ISDN PRI - DID vs TIE for B-channels

An update to our conversion to PRI trunks: - Set up the new PRI as D250, no Rls number, and the trunk type as TIE - Only major problem during cutover was needing to enable service messaging (ENL SERV x) in LD 96, else the trunks would go into MBSY. - Major issues prior to conversion with the...

New ISDN PRI - DID vs TIE for B-channels

First PRI in this switch, although I have other PRIs with local trunking in another switch. I fully expect to have issues, since I also tandem outgoing LD calls from the other switch. I've seen some references to the possibility of needing a DMI table to change the calltypes from private to...
