i am wanting to do remote desktop protocol to pass through pix (at host) to all remote sites in order to manange remote users.
what port is required to be opened to allow this to happen and what is proper syntax?
does this need to be added to all routers as well as pix?

how did you position your concentrator in your network?
did you put in before or after your firewall??

in checking further a few minutes ago, i see the customer did MORE testing after i left and it seems the file that was being xferred is NOW there.

the customer program can send to the share with no problem. when the program first sends the data initially, it asks for a login / pw.
the customer keeps saying "we need to make the directory share full open w/ NO restrictions.
my understanding that W2K server...
i have given "Everyone" fc to both share and ntfs permissions. even to the root level of directory, which is a hidden share D$.
what am i missing?

srv1 will xfer data to dc2 via custom program. srv1 needs access to the directory without any login / password restrictions - the program which initiates xfer has no place to input...
I tried installing an ACL for opening an outbound only port and I shutdown internet access.
i tried the following:
access-list inside permit tcp host 10.1.30.39 any eq 9001
access-group inside in interface inside
i need to open only outbound access on 9001....any help with how this is...
how would i configure pix515 to allow traffic outbound on a specific port??
also, how would allow the following:
client -> pix (public ip) -> internal server (private ip)
client needs specific access to the server for management / troubleshooting
