thanks for your response. the customer program can send to the share with no problem. when the program first sends the data initially, it asks for a login / pw. the customer keeps saying "we need to make the directory share full open w/ NO restrictions. my understanding that W2K server...

i have given "Everyone" fc to both share and ntfs permissions. even to the root level of directory, which is a hidden share D$. what am i missing?
