    T1 protection question

Thanks ! I will give them a call. I tried ITW Linx tech support but ended up in a mailbox. If I know the voltages I can figure it out from there.

    T1 protection question

I am trying to figure out what voltages are on a T1 circuit coming from tel.co.'s smart jack. I need to put surge protection on the circuit before it gets to the IAD/channel bank. Basically I need to now the approximate clamping voltage required.

    New "PATCH" available

Hi itphoneguy, I have had the same problem as well and was told about the patch from tech support also. As it turned out I didn't have to go that route because I found I had an upgrade card that was sent to dealers some time back. The Comcode is 108629106. I don't know if you can still get it...

Hard Drive Compatibility on PMVS 4 & 5

I have a Partner Mail VS R4 that won't boot up after a power failure. It seems to have the classic symptoms of a toasted hard drive. I have a replacement hard drive for a PMVS R5 which I purchased as a backup. Now comes the big question--are they compatible?? TBW

    R7

I am experiencing the same problem. I have been getting some bad R7's as well. I have had 3 or 4 of these so far with bad ports right out of the box which is very unusual. I thought maybe it was something that may have happened during the install and somebody wasn't fessing up. Don't take it...

    labeling partner sets

Hi All, If you go to www.desi.com you can download free desi software for all makes of sets. You can buy the desi sheets through them for around $.50/set. You can save all of it in your dbase for future reference. It works great. I usually give the software to the customer and they do their own...

PMVS R5 -Question on proper slot

To All, Thanks for the info. I have one thats been acting up and doesn't want to come up on a reboot very easily. It sometimes takes several attempts to come up after a power interruption. I wanted to rule the slot config out as a possibility. Thanks once again TBW

PMVS R5 -Question on proper slot

Hate to sound dumb, but is there a rule of thumb that says the PMVS must always follow the last card in the carrier? It seems to me that I remember being told by Avaya tech support that if it was installed between other cards and wasn't the last in line I would have problems. If I don't make it...

Calls Dropping when put on hold

Hi Chris, I have to agree with you. I suspect the T1 to be the problem. The customer says it happens on all lines although I can't see it happen enough. I called the provider and asked if silence could be the problem. I know some voicemails will look for silence when no disconnect feature is...

Calls Dropping when put on hold

I have a customer with a Partner ACS R5 that is loosing calls when put on hold. This is an intermittent problem & tough to nail down the source. When a call is put on hold (incoming or outgoing)and is left on hold for 2-3 minutes & it will sometimes drop the caller. I was able to hear it drop...
