What version of MSIE are you running. I had the same problem, running MSIE 6.0 (latest SP, updates, etc.). I uninstalled MSIE 6.0, installed MSIE 5.5 SP2 and have no errors with McAfee now.

Are the application settings configured for the website?
In IIS go the the properties for the specific website and click on the home directory tab - towards the bottom you'll see the application settings configurations....

In IIS go the properties of the site, click on the home directory tab, review your application settings...
Under the default FTP site in IIS, create a virtual directory (right click on the default FTP site). Create your alias (userid) and then provide the path to the directory where you want this alias to have access (inetpub/wwwroot/whatever/whatever...).

I, too, am experience the same issue. However, with the recent viruses/worms, I cannot stop scanning .ini files.
Any other suggestions to decrease cpu utilization while running this application. I am running IIS 4.0 on an NT 4.0 machine.
