U get this error message if you specify a wrong or invalid database name, or maybe the instance is shutdown. or there could be 10000 reasons for this, 1 may be that ur using a wrong port. I doubt this has anything to do with the amount of connections.but it could be.ask a pro dba to help u out...- talrasha
