    Outbound caller I.D

Calling line ID can be set in the route points i.e. gateway config, route list config, route group config. CLID entries in those objects should override any station-level CLID settings if I remember correctly. Secondary dialtone can be disabled at the route pattern config. It's a check-box. You...

    IDLE_SET_DISPLAY

I think you need to do a reload for that change to the idle display to take effect. You needed to reload in 25.40b, 3.0 and 4.0 t least... --T1PSTN

Forward Calls to two external numbers at once or in sucession

Configure the no answer destination for both phones to the PSTN number of the cell phone. Make sure the CSS for no answer will allow 9.xxxxxxxxxx dialing or whatever applies to your local outbound policy. Or consider the following: Station A Ext 5000 No answer = 5001 Station B Ext 5001 No...

    Outgoing call issue

You may need to do a shut/no shut on that serial interface. Seems like your DSPs and B-channels may not be lining up. I've seen similar things before, and resetting the controller or interface seemed to clear them. --T1PSTN

    Outgoing call issue

Okay. at the router: debug isdn q931 term mon (cancel with undebug isdn q931) What do you see during the failed calls versus the successful attempts? --T1PSTN

    Outgoing call issue

How are your calls exiting the system? Via a gateway? What protocol (MGCP, H.323?) Are they destined to the PSTN? Or another site via WAN? --T1PSTN

    RightFax & Opt 61

Check the NCOS of the trunks between the PBX and FAX server. Also, make sure that the starting arrangement (IMM IMM, WNK WNK) is the same for both the server and the PBX. As stated above, make sure your server is pre-pending the outgoing digits with your BARS access code (AC1, usually 9.) I...

Both key 00 and 01 will get the same call... They're SCR for the same DN. Change key 01 to a different DN than the one on key 00. --T1PSTN

Can't log in - just get reply "MNEMONIC"

I use minicom all the time on numerous Nortel PBXs of different release levels-- and with no trouble. Is minicom connecting vial a direct serial connection, or a modem? If it's direct serial, make sure that the modem init strings are empty. If it's connecting via modem, make sure the modem init...

Pager system, Option 61 & Call Pilot

Can you call a mailport from an internal extension and page through a menu-service? Is the problem ONLY when entering the system from the PSTN? Check the TARG/TGAR of your inbound rout and memebers. Make sure that you aren't barring trunk-to-trunk calls. If a call comes in on a trunk, access to...

Pager system, Option 61 & Call Pilot

The CLS UNR and TGAR 0 would allow an access code to be dialed by the agent... I think that's what you'll need to make this work. Do you have the port-set configs for any of your old MerMail agents? CHeck their TGAR and CLS as reference. If all else fails, John Poole's method is the best one...
