Thanks for the advice, although, I am aware of the domain prep commands.
I suppose the question is, can I install exchange at the root of the forest, whilst the doamins are still on Windows 2000?
Thanks
Rob
Hi
We are about to start the dreaded upgrade from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2007.
And after looking at all the M$ docs and information over load from the web, does our child domains need upgrading to Windows 2003?
We have a Windows AD Forest with Windows 2003 AD at the Root, and this holds...
Hi
Can anyone help?
What we have is a external number pointing to a tag group, and we have voice mail on the number. Is it possible to have the tag group collect the voice mail from any of their phones? They have 5330 phones.
We have engineers building the system this week, and they don't...
computerhighguy,
Hi, I got the router to work on my own ADSL circuit last night. But could not check the correct setup as I do not have enough Static IP addresses.
Here is the config, as per the CRWS.
Having looked on the Cisco site, they mention about using the Cisco as a bridge, but the...

I have been given the task of setting up a SOHO 97 for a ADSL connection.

lander215,
Thanks for the prompt response. I understand that I have to wait for the replication to start and finish. Its just that everything has been setup to replicate twice every hour, yet sometimes it can take up to 24 hours for us to add the new users manager to the organisation tab in AD...

Try and restart the printer spool service on your w2K print server.
Now and again we have similar problem, restarting the spool service clears all the rubbish out!
Hope this helps

Look at the following MS Technet articles, sounds like the Outlook on the Win98 clients is using the wrong Binding order.
KB326036, KB325930, KB163576.
Hope this helps.

Folks
I keep getting this error on one of my regional DC (child domain of the root that contains a Exchange 2000 server)
Does anyone have any ideas? Have looked at Technet, they do not have anything on the site.

Are you using WINS? I have had a similar problem when I moved our child DC from our main site. You need WINS or LMHOSTS files for the network neighbourhood to work. When I moved the DC I have to manually enter the DC into the WINS database. For some strange reason it does not seem to...

YOu can leave it has a member server. We have a Citrix server. You'll not have any problems. Citrix even recommend that you do not have TS or Citrix running on a DC. Citrix write the TS software for MS. So they should know!
Good luck.
