Good point Foamcow. I did notice that IE7 and Firefox zoom the page instead of scaling the text, so that's why I wondered if the whole 'resizable vs. absolute' font sizes was still a big issue. I have always been an advocate for allowing the user to resize the font because there was a time when...
I didn't realize that px still aren't resized in IE (which I don't use). For some reason I thought they did with IE7. That's good to know in any case. I will continue to use percentages because I prefer them to em's.

Hey,
I have been using percentages for CSS font sizes for years but was wondering what everyone else uses. I notice that px is becoming more popular and it resizes in the browser when the user wants it to. Some years ago it was only percentages and em's that did that and that's why I went with...
Yup, I totally agree. I never thought about it from a spammer point of view. I just wanted to see if there was another way to test a client's email address when they tell me their email isn't working. It's a shame people look to exploit things like this. Hackers and spammers really piss me off...
Hi,
I was just wondering if there was a way to test if an email address is working without sending a test email that the person would get. I'd like to see if a client's email is working without sending them a real email.
Is there a way to do this in DOS, online, etc.?
Thanks...
For better adherence to web standards, you could also give a CSS class or in-tag styling with the style attribute to the link with border:0px.
'border="0"' has been deprecated since HTML 4.01 and is not supported in XHTML Strict.

Hi,
I was on another forum and we figured out the problem. We did a tracert to the site and it was clear there was an endless loop from one router. Anyone going down this path (me, my friends, BestBuy, Futureshop, David from Vancouver, etc.) we got stuck and never could reach the site...
You must have missed it in my last reply but the problem exists in IE, FF, and Opera. It's not a browser issue.

I don't get any page! Anything to do with http://secure.mytemplatestorage.com just spins and spins and spins. I have gotten nothing but a grey 'trying to connect' page or a timeout for weeks now. Everything else works fine on my system. I have this problem on my 3 browsers (IE, FF, Opera)...
The site to log in is http://www.mytemplatestorage.com and when you try to login or click 'forgot your password' (on the right) it tries to go to http://secure.mytemplatestorage.com. When I try to go to the latter, it will just keep spinning and never gets anywhere. It times out. I just don't...
Hi,
I have been having trouble logging in at one specific website and want to see if it's just me. I simply cannot seem to reach the after login page http://secure.mytemplatestorage.com/ yet others can. It's just this one login site. It just spins and spins and then times out. Nobody can...
I was looking at my router and saw many dropped packets from a Peer-to-Peer program I don't really use anymore (LimeWire). I uninstalled LimeWire and IE7 was immediately able to connect to web pages!
Very strange. Anyways, if anyone else has this problem, they might want to consider this...
The program itself was damaged. I had them reinstall it and get the latest updates and it works fine now.

Hi,
I have a friend who's made a pdf for their website. If you just open the file, it opens with no problem. When they link to it on their website and IE or Firefox users try opening it, Acrobat opens and gives an error message that "Adobe Acrobat has encountered a problem and needs to...
