    its not over heating because i have about 7 fans and the side of my case was open on one of the occassions this happened so it had plenty of ventilation. plus the psu is a dual fan psu. however i will check the psu.

    Thanksfor the input guys and gals. I just bought a really nice thermaltake v6000a case so I've got plenty of room for expansion so I'm thinking the promise Ultra 133 Tx2 card sounds like a pretty good idea.
