please help. when i was using windows nt i was able to save user name, password, and domain belonging to another user with internet access right in the company. i didnt need to call him for logon to the internet unless i remove the check for "save in the password list". to my amazement each time...

hi, most likely it is the temp problem. check to see that the heatsink is completely in contact with the processor mechanically, you cant rule out the possibility of plastic breakage of the heatsink retaining clips. check/monitor temperature in cmos hardware monitor if applicable. good luck

I have been trying to install windows 98se on my current windows me in my system. All the time I got error messages saying that installation of earlier version of OS is disabled by the winme. I have had years of faultless use of win98se, so, I want to go back. Thanks in advance. Sule

Thanks for the response. The file can associate with any of the installed graphic apps like paint, photoshop etc and loads correctly but does not retain the original gif, or jpeg icons. I dont know if I have made any sense? Thanks again.

Can anyone help? Sometimes upon installation of some graphic related software, the standard icons for jpeg and gif files gets changed to the installed applications’ icons even if uninstalled. How can I have my standard jpeg, gif icons back? Any need to reinstall Windows ME? Many thanks in advance.

I had the same with a mobo earlier on, check the cpu fan and reseat the cpu. May be it will help.
