When I looked in the "Port" list - (Printers and Faxes\File\Server Properties\Ports) - there were 61 entries for CLIENT\WU#1\HP DESKJET 3840 SERIES. When I try to delete these I get - "Selected port cannot be deleted. The request is not supported." That user is no longer using that printer. He...
Originally, the setup was an NT4 domain (SBS) and a separate Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Citrix. The TS License Server was on the Win2k box.
I upgraded my network by installing two new servers each running Win2003Ent. Installed VMWare on each box, created two vm's with Win2003Ent as...
Update:
I bought 2 new boxes each with two dual-core Xeon 5150 processors, 4MB cache, 2.66GHz 1333MHz FSB, 4GB 667MHz RAM, four 146GB HDD - RAID 10.
Installed Windows 2003 Server R2 Enterprise on each as the host OS. Installed VMWare Server on each. Running two Win2003R2Ent DC's in VM's (one...
Thank you all for your responses.
I always made it a habit of punching all 4prs, even if some of the conductors aren't used at least it will add to physical connection strength. The last IT guy only punched down 2pr.
I want to replace all the cabling to CAT6. Like I said, I will have a 1Gb...
How many pairs are actually used? I want to upgrade the cabling at work, it's a mess. Mixed 568A and 568B, some 2pr connections some 4pr connections, CAT3, CAT5.
I will be using CAT6.
I was just curious about how many and which pairs are used for networking? I will have a 1Gb backbone...
Thanks whokilledkenny - I was just thinking I could get away with not doing a reinstall of NT4, but it's no big deal.
lwcomputing - I didn't "bother" to get another server. We closed down one of our companies and their old hardware was shipped to my location and sat in storage for the last 8...
I'm planning on upgrading our old NT4 domain to 2003.
The PDC is to old for 2003 to be installed for the upgrade and there is no BDC on the network.
I acquired another box with NT4 on it, which specs better for 2003, from another company that went under. That box was the PDC on their network...
I created a backup of the company and followed all the steps to end the count.
I wanted to see the results of the variance report. In the live company, the variance report by item number, shows the frozen quantities and costs for each item entered but does not show the totals at the bottom...
Yes, I printed extra tags for all batches, if that was your question.
Example:
Batch ID - SW06 (quantities not in IMTAGFIL)
(no lot, no multiple bins)
Create Physical Count without Item Numbers
Exclude Zero Quantities
Use Frozen Quatities in Calculations
2077 items with QOH, printed 233 extra...
When creating tags for a physical inventory, the quantity on hand and the current cost are captured and stored in the IMTAGFIL, at least this is what it says in the help files.
Now, some batches in the file do contain quantity and cost and some don't. The batches without item numbers on the...
Sort of correct.
The Web and FTP sites are public. The users all have a local account for logging in.
The general public has access to the Web site. The FTP server does not allow anonymous access.

Using IIS on Win2003 Ent. Server
I have a website where users can log on and be sent to their "My Files" page. (using Windows Authentication)
I have an FTP server setup for the same users to upload files.
-- I know, why not have the users upload via web --
I tried that, but users can't...
Thanks Kevin,
Logged in as Supervisor on a user's machine and had no problem with OE.
The date on my Flex install screen is 1/25/2005. The file date for Flexibility on Exacts site is 10/31/2005.
I'll try installing that before looking at all the VBA code behind OE.
I'll post my results when...
