Wow, I have to give you credit. Your making the most out of the least. If your just testing though now is the time to play and learn. If everyone ran around here acting like they really knew what they were doing we would live in a perfect world. Come on tear it up and rebuild it, it's teh...
Thats, normal. Are you using client32 to access the server, or are you just using the MS client? You are hitting a 2 gig limit and I can't remember exactly what the limitation was caused by. Load the latest Client32 though I have a feeling that will fix it. Otherwise, it's just a visual...
If your having this many problems now, can you imagine the ones you will be having once you downgrade, if that's even possible? I say go with my original suggestion, boot from a bootdisk and delete the Winnt/Windows dir and reload the OS. Just remember before you do it to copy the My Docs...
Thats just it, I'm not getting an error. I just can't see the GUI. If I do a CTRL-F1 I get the list and it lists the GUI. But when I try to access it the screen doesn't change. I'm assuming that it is changing on the server's side, but I cannot confirm that as teh server is on the other side...
When you say hard drive do you mean a virtual disk created in a RAID or are you talking physical disks? If you are talking RAID, why not make one big virtual disk and then one big pool (not including sys)? If you are talking seperate disks without any sort of redundancy I wouldn't even think...
Your right, I probably should but the stuff isn't life or death to me. If I lost it sure I'd be ticked, but in my 13 years of PC computing and probably 10 HD's I have only had 1 HD go belly up and I was still able to rescue most of the data. Although I'm sure now I will go home and find my HD...
I have 4 Dell 6350's running NW5.1 Sp4. Problem is that I can't get the Gui to run via the DRAC. It's not a huge deal now, but something I would like to get worked out. I am using DRAC 2.30 dated 6/20/2000. I have looked on Dell's site but have found nothing.
Thanks
Steve
You could just delete the windows dir and reload windows. This will allow you to keep the program files for your other software. Most software will need to be reinstalled afterward, but will take up no more space because you will just be overwriting the old programs. In many cases your...
You have to use Auditcon for that. Auditcon has the ability to audit NDS as well as the file system. One bad thing is though that if you are using NSS volumes Auditcon will not be able to audit the file trail. Just another reason I hate NSS.
Good Luck.....
Well I'm very new to SAN stuff and never used it with NetWare, but I'll take a shot. I am also going with knowledge from an EMC 4700 which may or may not be the same as what you have. In anycase, have you looked at which storage processor the LUN for your volume is on? For instance, if card A...
Have you tried loggin in workstation only to the machines to see if teh problem still happens? Also are you running the latest and greatest client? I really don't see how a NW6 box would interfere with a Domino box, but I guess stranger things have happened.
Ok, I am the jerk. I went back and read your first post, your just starting out. Like the guy in the other post said, try to boot from CD, you'll save yourself a lot of head ache. Also that link I gave you above come from www.bootdisk.com, but I went direct since it seemed like the disk that...
