Ok, I solved this through a policy map. I still would like to know why rate-limit is not available.
I have another question now. How do I get the tar for web configuration? I've looked all over cisco's site for the ciscoview device tar. I can get the IOS but that ciscoview isn't to be found...
Ok, I'm a total newbie to the Cisco CLI.
I have a ws-x4515 SUP IV in a 4006. I purchased this just to try and learn commands and concepts.
All I'm trying to do is rate-limit an interface. I've spent hours and hours trying to figure this out. I see example after example using the "rate-limit"...
Ozzie:
The outbound caller id works on all but these few extensions.
imeldesign:
They need to have individual numbers.
Again, this works on the rest just not these few.
We assign over 250 DID's to other tenants.
I'm having a strange problem with a few extensions with outgoing caller id.
Just for a refresher the only cmd's I need to change are 5005 for the prefix, 1212 for the last 4 digits and 1213 which uses 5005's setting correct?
What's happening is no matter what I do its showing the default...
I can't for the life of me remember how to get this to work.
I know I set it under E600 but it gives me an error if I just type the outside number in.
I remember using a comma in the entry but I'm not sure what goes before it.
This extension does not require a 9 to dial out btw.
pave,
That sounds extremely scary. The system has not been shutdown for over three years. If it didn't come back up properly and the backup failed for any reason I would be out of business. I think I'll opt for changing the extension.
Ozzie,
Ok, I checked 9003 it is also set to 1, no delay.
Pave,
No it does not ring if I dial directly to the rolled line.
I'm at a loss, I suppose I'll just have to blacklist that extension and set up a new one...sad but it works. The phone rings if I change its extension. Sure would be nice...
Ok, I tried to do LD's suggestion with the # everything and I checked 3drace's suggestion under 9001 it's set to 1, which is ring.
E603 is set to roll to another line which is typical for all my rolls but they still ring.
It's still not ringing, any other suggestions?
Ozzie,
The title has the system type, it's a Neax 2000 IPS. It happens on any phone whether it be a DTH-8D-1 or inaset 240G. It has to be something stored on the system because if you change the extension the phone works fine.
LD,
I'll give that a try. No CFW is not activated but I will...
