    Sorry, I forgot...I did install Norton Systemworks 2005 but the problem had already been evident before then. Switching it on and off has no effect, but I am told, you can blame Norton for alot of things.

    Have tried all the above remedies without success. Kindly note that Outlook 2003 was installed as Internet Mail only. It refuses to allow testing...that is...to send a test message, although it has the same information as Outlook Express. I had originally installed Outlook 2000 which worked...

    After installing SP2 on Windows XP, on a HP 1095c [P4, 3.2G]Outlook Express works like lightning, Outlook 2000, then Outlook 2003 refuse to connect with LAN.
