ftp hanging on AIX
have not recently installed anything new. Unfortunately don't have access to NT end, but apparently they can get directory listings etc no problem, and ftp does work most of the time. Just on odd occasions (once a week max) it packs up. how do i register error messages as syslogd - as refered... -

were running aix v4.3 the file on AIX is full but can't be used because it is held by the ftp job. if I don't kill the ftp job then it will never end. -

thanks for the suggestion.... i have no messages in /var/msgs/* so am guessing that the ftp job isn't returning any errors. -

hi all, got a problem with AIX on RS/6000 that NOBODY can fix for me!! We have ftps coming into our system from a WINNT server. Occasionally the ftp job sticks open, so no jobs can get access to the file. The results of a trace show it is getting 'keep alive' signals from the sending machine...
