Hi, Does anybody have an idea how to get an exchange server (or SMTP Gateway) to forward messages to other servers based on e-mail address (not domain). For example joe.bloggs@domain.com goes to server A, jim.smith@domain.com goes to server B Thanks!

Having a server in an unmanned location is diffucult. Backups have to be taken and tapes rotated (unless you can impliment this remotely). Why doees the server have to be in an unmanned location? Anyway the cost (including comms) and upkeep of an exchange server is not worth the hassle for 10...

Add to your logon script: gpupdate /force This forcees the compter to reapply all GP settings from the domain as a user logs on.

What about all the other users from that blocked domain who want to send e-mails to you?

Group Policy's are assigned at server level - once, for clients to pick up automatically on a logon.

What about trying the problem from a different angle... Is there not a group policy for Office - Outlook in particular that would allow you to set this option across the board. So when a user logs out of e-mail, the deleted items are purged?

Just get the old file from the backup you must have before you started. Restore it and try again.

Have you added any recent patches or service packs? Is SP4 for exchange 5.5 installed correctly - try reinstalling it.
