Thank you for your response. So, you mean that each file would need to be saved with the code for it to open at the "home" position? Unfortunately, these are files I get from other people, usually saved in some location other than where I should be gathering my data from. So, it goes like this...- spriggig

I don't use excel much but when I do, I forget that the location in the spreadsheet is saved (most apps open files on the first page, at the top of the page) and I often forget to scroll up or change to the first sheet and end up missing data. Is there some way I can force excel to ALWAYS open...- spriggig

What does excel do with text qualifiers?
I have a CSV file that has text properly formatted with quotes ("") around values that I want to be read as text.
