I have a port replicator, which connects via USB *only* to the laptop and terminates the mouse and keyboard via USB and the monitor via DVI or VGA. This works fine, but what if I also want an extra pc (or n computers) such that I can do KVM switching between the two or n pc's, without losing the...
Thanks noway2. The linux box uses an Asus M4A77T motherboard and shows the bios as American Megatrends V02.61 during boot(it also reports version 2301 in a different of the bios screen, so not sure which is the definitive version).
The windows box uses Pheonix bios 2.6.3.
Is this consistent...
I am running Ubuntu 11.04 on a Desktop.
I have an external USB 2.0 Dazzle Hi Speed SD card reader.
Using this reader, I can view the contents of SD cards which are 2.0gb and below, but not 4gb and above, i.e. SDHC/ high capacity cards. For 4GB cards, the OS reports that the card is blank, and...
I am encountering an R6025 ("No object has been instantiated to handle the pure virtual function call") error in a complex application.
The error is intermittent and it is time consuming to reproduce.
I have read that setting a breakpoint in purevirt.c at the line "_amsg_exit(_RT_PUREVIRT);"...
I did buy the pc (from Tiny) and it came with one hard drive which I partitioned. I haven't looked inside the case, but I haven't purchased any additional hard drives.
My pc has a 256 GB hard drive partitioned into two 128GB NTFS partitions which the BIOS, Windows XP boot disk and Partition Magic/ fdisk all seem to think are primary partitions on two separate disks (1 and 2). None of these can delete or merge either of the two partitions because they don't...

Do you mean the XP installation disc? when I boot off this, I don't see any option to remove partitions, just the option to install or repair windows, neither of which allows me to remove the partition.
I have a 128Gb fat32 partition, drive D on my XP Home system.
I created it using PartitionMagic and I want to remove it.
Unfortunately I have reinstalled windows since creating the partition, so PartitionMagic cannot remove the partition because windows cannot report the correct dimensions. Disk...
Visual Studio.NET allows the Tools menu to be extended by doing the following:
Tools> External Tools> Add > {enter appropriate values for Title/ Commands/ Arguments> Initial Directory}
This works fine, but we have a number of external tools to add, large number of pc's at work, and we may want...
What do I need to do to resolve the following link error?
I am a bit dim-witted/inexperienced w.r.t. DLLs. I checked another project which linked the call o.k., but couldn't see where the settings had been modified to find the appropriate object.
someproj error LNK2019: unresolved external...
