I did an install of Solaris 10 using "Entire Disribution plus OEM" feature set. This installed StarOffice 7 and I need to remove this software. How can this be done? Can it be done from the command line?
I have CDs for AIX 5L V5.2 dated 05/2004 and 11/2004. How can I tell what Maintenance Level is on these CDs? I also have an AIX 5L V5.3 CD set dates 2/2005. Is this 5.2 ML1?
Does IBM have a web page which lists the ML version of the CDs?
Thanks
Bruce
Is it true there is no RSC or ALOM port available on the SunFire V490? If anyone is using a V490, how do you access the console? Preferably, I'd like network access to the console through an RSC/SC/ALOM/Network Management port.
Thanks

I think the cron entry is incorrect. If you are using:
05 11 * * 0-5 . test_cron.urs
You need to remove the "." and give the full path to the executable:
05 11 * * 0-5 /<path_to_executable>/test_cron.urs
How can I identify the version of /usr/lib/sendmail installed with AIX 5.2? The AIX 5.2 Differences Guide states that since AIX 5.1.0, version 8.11 of sendmail is used. But how can I verify this and get an exact version?
How can I check the firmware version of an AIX server? I know that I can run 'lscfg -vp | grep -p Platform', but this doesn't work on all of my platforms or AIX versions.
