I am tring to install ms office 2000 on a win xp o/s. I am not sure if that is the problem at hand or something else. It gets half way through installation and comes up with an error ("problem accessing protected file"). Any ideas why its happening??? Thanks, Jeremy

I was upgrading from 95' to 98'. istall seemed complete but when i got into windows i couldnt click the start button. windows seems ok otherwise. any advice??? thanks

I dont think it is stupid to delete temp files, i actually do quite often but in this case it just seemed like a cop out. I will give it a wirl though, thanks.

Correction for last thread. The numbers appeared different on the thread then when i created it. The numbers are supposed to be under each other.
