There is nothing in the field prior to the filename. The filename is assembled via a macro which combines three fields:
1. Product Images\f
2. the number
3. .jpg
The filename field is text, length 30.
I've deleted the field and reassembled it again in a new blank database with only the three...
Hello everyone,
Within our database we have some unrelated tables which we are considering viewing on a form as a dialogue. As this is unrelated to the other tables can we add a set of smarticons to the dialogue for independent searching and make the form modeless ie. let me interact with the...
Paul,
Thankyou for responding so speedily.
It's v9.6, "Text - Delimited (.TXT)" and a file path sample is as follows - "Product Images\f11.jpg". I've tried tab delimited and exporting the fields in a varying order but the last quotation marks still break to a new line ie...
Hello,
I am re-designing an approach database and one of the requirements is for a repeating panel to display items in a particular order based on their priority and if possible for them to then be displayed in some relevant way ie. red - urgent, amber - requiring attention, green - no contact...
Hi & a great new year to you all,
I am exporting data from a table in approach which is comma delimited. The last field at the end of each record is a path to an image but for some reason when exported this field is carried over to a new line before the quotation marks at the end of the data on...
Hi,
I'm new to approach and I can't seem to find much assistance in constructing a new database from scratch. I know the basics of using databases from experience with access but there are a couple of things I can't seem to be able to do too easily in approach. Firstly accessing the code...
Steve Lewy,
I've actually resolved this issue now by using an alternative method. I used a query to list the combo text ascending & used conditional formatting for colouring. This does mean I have to ensure the status text will begin with the right letter for it to ascend correctly but it...
Steve101,
I'd already tried this but it gets stuck in an infinite loop. Do I need to somehow reference each record from the combo box click event maybe (I'm just guessing here)?

Steve,
Thanks for your help,
Unfortunately there no OnCurrent event of the form appears. I tried the Current event but it just returns an error when I open the form saying the field in question is not recognised but I know it is because it works in the combo click event. Any other suggestions...
I have a form customers with a subform clients each of which has a combo box representing their status. A simple select case statement changes the backcolour when the combo box option is selected but it changes the colour of all the combo boxes on the form and not each individual record. I've...
Hi All,
I've looked around but can't seem to find a simple way to send email through outlook by clicking on a text box within an access project. I'm relatively new to programming so please be gentle.
Thanks
Thanks Lightning for the advice but I'm sure there is a way. What I'm trying to achieve is a notification for users to prioritise an event with colours for individual clients on our database so that it is immediately and visually apparent what their status is. Maybe there is another approach I...
Hi all,
Is there a way to apply different colours to various words in a combo box and when a word is clicked then change it to another colour.
Any help would be appreciated.
