...I got a Linksys wireless router and installed it this weekend. The installation process alone was easier than with the Netgear -- Linksys packages theirs with a cd that automates the process. I was impressed that it detected the ISP and plugged in the computer's MAC value automatically to...
:D I was thinking about getting a Linksys...but wanted to see if there was any hope before I scrap the Netgear.
I looked up the firmware updates on the Netgear website, but by the description, it sounds like what's already in use, so I'm not too hopeful about that either...
well, thanks for...
I've got a simple 3-column report that has 2 pages, but isn't displaying anything on the second page. Everything was fine when there was only enough data to fill just one page, but now that there's more, the last group's record gets cut off.
I tried setting the group to "keep together," but...
I tried saving the config, resetting, and then reloading the config. It seemed to work...until the Internet connection was dropped again. I'm thinking it's a screwy hardware glitch and I'll have to contact Netgear. Thank you for your suggestion though!
I have a Netgear wireless router at home, with a single desktop wired to one of its ports, a cable modem providing an Internet connection to it, and a TiVo device using it wirelessly with a Linksys card. It's been set up for a couple months now, but recently the TiVo has had trouble finding the...
My users might fiddle with the form, but without knowing it. So, I guess server-side it is (plus my javascript's pretty limited). I guess if it doesn't validate, have a message stating what didn't validate, with a link that simply goes back to the page (without reloading)? Since this is what...
Please bounce some ideas my way about how to check data from a form's elements before they're saved to a database!
To be more specific:
I have an "edit" page that displays a record, with each field in a textbox. However some fields, like the dates, have size limits or are specific types...
Yea - that did it! I went to the folder and looked at Security under Properties, and sure enough, the "Users" only had Read permissions. Now if I could just get it to return the primary key value... Hey, thanks you two for helping me figure out all this IUSR stuff!
Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm following. :) I went to IIS and in Web Sites Properties, Directory Security tab, looked up "anonymous access and authentication control." Currently it's set with Anonymous Access checked,
No user name/password required to access this resource.
Account used for...
Oh, sorry. "testdb" is the System DSN through ODBC that points to the Microsoft Access Database. The database is on my local machine and I can open/write to it directly without any problem, so I didn't think that would be an issue. But how can I check IUSR_MachineName to see if it has access?
I'm trying to add a record to a table, using VBScript. I haven't had any problems viewing records, but now I'm adding in this capability, and I'm having issues with opening a read/write recordset.
The error I'm getting is this:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'...
