What language should I be learning as a replacement for VB?

If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing poorly... until you can learn to do it properly!
Oh :( what is the current equivalent? This is really dissappointing news after spending so many hours studying and so much money on materials. :(

I'm trying to learn VB6 but the book I'm using keeps refering me to VB6 help files, saying if I press F1 I'll get context sensitive help but all I get is a message saying that I need to re-install MSDN.
I can't believe MS get away with shipping a program without even basic help files! I've now...
Hi,
Our office LAN has a primary & secondary DNS server in Active Directory Integrated mode.
Everytime I create a reverse lookup zone, it dissappears each time I reload it. It actually looks as though it is still there but when trying to perform subsequent operations, it tells me that the zone...
ok.. thanks for trying Chris,
I think I have possibly got it working...
I have added a pointer record in the reverse lookup zone on the primary dns server for both of the dns servers. I then performed the query again and it appears to work now.
Also the zone has not dissappeared this time...
Thanks Chris,
I keep creating reverse lookup zones but they keep dissappearing.. each time I create one (I did this morning), I look later and it has gone and the secondary's all show an error.
Any ideas why that should happen?

When I peform an nslookup from my laptop when connected to our office LAN, I get the error 'Default servers are not available' as in the example below.
However, when I do the same nslookup from home connected to my ISP, I get no such error.
Can anyone tell me what my DNS server at work is...
Does anyone know how I can make MS Backup on Win2k Server locate the media in a Travan 40 tape drive?
The drive work with Tapeware but can't get it to work with MS Backup.
The drive is listed as an option to backup to within MS Backup though.

Yeah, I know what you mean!! But it does rather stink when the path in question is a default windows path like C:\Program Files !!
Can't believe MS didn't patch this problem since it the service program can't even handle a default windows path.
Anyways, thanks for your help.
This issue is now resolved. thanks for your help.
the problem was caused because the path to Lansuite contains spaces and there is a Win2K bug which can cause programs which are set to run as services to fail if there is a space in the path.
Applied MS KB solution and all is now well.
Hi, Sorry for the delay.
Thanks for the tip. Yeah, tried restarting, no joy.
Do you know what FWL Packet filter is and how to go about troubleshooting it?
Kind regards, pete
I have a server running Lansuite602 LAN mailserver as it's primary function, but Lansuite is unable to start and when I look in the system log there are hundreds of errors all the same.
