I have an IBM @server xSeries 340 server with a RAID 5 array (Win2K Server). The server will not boot and I need to recover the data.
I would like to know if it is possible to install the pci RAID controller and the drives into a working PC.
I am assuming that the PC will recognize the array...

We have 3 locations all connected via Frame Relays to a central location with a Win2K Domain Controller running Active Directory.
This network has been stable for 2+ years.
A problem has begun recently where 2 of the branch locations cannot connect to Windows shares on the DC - although ALL IP...
I have 5 IBM Netvista A40 personal pc's; 4 at the office & 1 at home.
3 (2 office/1 home) have become unstable over past 4 weeks. Machines would lock up immediately following W2K splash or login. Antivirus is updated, machines are clean. No new software or hardware installs.

Thanks again -
I found on the Cisco TAC site info about the PIX-1FE and the chipsets - including the non-suported chip.
I also found a number of internet sellers with this card for around $30 - $50.
No - The PIX515-R is shipped with 2 interfaces standard, but is licensed to have up to 3.
If I wanted to exceed the limit of 3 and expand up to 6, I would then need to purchase the unrestricted license.
I am looking to see if the Ethernet card is proprietary or generic?
How do I add ( or where do I get ) a 3rd ethernet interface to the PIX-515-R?
I looked thru Cisco's site - nothing could be found.
I am assuming that a standard NIC card will not work, right???

I thought I understood this, but I need some clarification...

I currently have a single Frame Relay to my main office that all WAN and Internet traffic share. I am dropping the Internet loop from that FR T1 and moving it to a DSL circuit. The PIX 515 will be on the new DSL, of course.

I am a 'newbie' to PIX and have an issue as to where my PIX needs to be placed within our network. The original installer set it up in one manner and a consultant stated that it it wrong. With all of the reading I have done, I cannot seem to find a scenario or example that is similar to ours...
