The soundcard was sitting on IRQ 9, I switched over to five and it still freezes up when I go to get the final part of the driver installed. Windows went to install this driver c:windows/Inf/cmuk101 and the computer locked up....I don't know what else to try thanks for the help so far and if...

I just installed a soundblaster live value into my compy and am trying to install the drivers....I installed the ones from the disk and they have no affect....I install the ones from the website and they make my computer lock up once it is detected...I get a copy off of drivers.com and I still...

It sounds like a Hard Drive problem...had that problem with a 10 GB Western Digital when the bearing in the motor was going also I could hear a loud whining coming from inside the hard drive...you may or may not hear this from your hard drive...I didn't hear it untill it was too late! Scotty...
